Welcome to Lovelady Marketplace, an initiative of the Lovelady Center, the nation’s largest faith-based rehabilitation facility dedicated to helping women and children transform their lives.
At Lovelady Marketplace, we offer a variety of handmade products, from jams and jellies to jewelry and home decor, all crafted with love by our dedicated staff, clients, and our founder Ms Brenda. Each purchase you make not only supports the incredible talents of our women but also provides essential resources that empower them on their journey of recovery and renewal.
Our mission is clear: we strive to help women rebuild their lives and walk forward with faith-driven hope for the future. At the Lovelady Center, we understand that simply providing shelter, food, and clothing isn’t enough. We equip women with life skills, spiritual guidance, and the tools they need to overcome barriers to success. By doing so, we break the cycle of poverty and incarceration, creating lasting change not only for individuals but for entire communities.
Since our inception, we’ve made significant strides in reducing recidivism rates across Alabama. In 2016, we received recognition from the Alabama Department of Corrections for our role in this critical effort. Our unique State Supervised Re-entry Program allows certain women to complete their sentences at the Lovelady Center, reinforcing our commitment to rehabilitation over incarceration. By choosing to house women here, we have saved the state over $3.8 million, demonstrating the profound impact of our work.

We are proud to celebrate the achievements of these incredible women who have completed the "Cottage Food Safety" course, receiving their certificates from the Alabama Cooperative Extension System. Over two transformative days in Clanton, Alabama, they learned the essential skills of canning and preserving food, from preparing fresh produce to sealing jars safely. For many, this was a long-awaited opportunity to pursue their passion for food preparation and empower them to envision a brighter future. These certifications not only enhance the quality and safety of our handmade products but also instill a sense of purpose and confidence in our women, paving the way for them to potentially start their own businesses one day.
